Safe and Sound

"I remember tears streaming down your face When I said, I'll never let you go When all those shadows almost killed your light. I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone. But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight. Just close your eyes The sun is going down You'll be alright No one can hurt you now Come morning light You and I'll be safe and sound"

My Russian Adventure: Day 2

Me and My mom at some church in Moscow, you have to cover your head while in there. I look like a little Baboushka!!!
Yesterday, well, it was better! We ate blini for breakfast, and we played on the swings behind our apartment. An old lady came and yelled at me and Nastia (in Russian), "Get off those swings! Your butts are too big!" And she left. We continued swinging. Then we got swarmed by pigeons. But, then, moms to the rescue! Off to Red Square.
We got there, and there was a gigantic sports stadium just set up in the middle of it! We had to go all the way around it, just to get to St. Basils. Which they were filming a movie at.  Okay, fine, we'll just go to Lenin's tomb. Nope, thats closed too. Where to next? The Russian Museum. Too bad that was also closed. We found out this morning, everything is closed on Tuesdays. That was yesterday.
So, we headed into the "Goom". It's this huge mall that is one of the easiest places to get lost in. We all decided now was a good time for lunch, so we headed to a little cafe in the mall. I swear, our server looked exactly like Ellie from the movie "Up". She was super nice.
After lunch, we headed back to the apartment for a nap! I did'nt feel like I needed one, but, guess what... I did. We lazed around most of the day, then went to another cafe for Dinner. There we saw two boys, who seemed to be homeless were selling newspapers for extra money.
At the and of the day, all was well and we slept!!!
